mass

Mass is the amount of matter in an object. Gravitational mass is a measurement of how much gravity an object exerts on other objects.

Good to know! Mass differs from weight in that the mass of an object never changes, but weight changes based on the force of gravity. On Earth, weight = mass * the force of earth’s gravity (9.8 m/s2)
