slope-intercept form

One way of writing the equation of a line in slope-intercept form is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

Important to know! This is the most useful form of a straight-line equation on the ACT, as it immediately gives information about slope and y-intercept. If a line equation is not in this form, try to shift it around to this form.
