Pollination is the transfer of pollen from the stamen (male reproductive organ) to the pistil (female reproductive organ) in plants to start the production of seeds.

Hint: this is why your parents told you about the “birds and the bees”: these creatures often accidentally move pollen from one part of the flower to another.
