Figure 1 is a simplified periodic table that gives the name, symbol, and atomic number (number of protons in the nucleus) for 24 elements. The elements in each row of the figure belong to the the same period, while the elements in each column belong to the same group.

Table 1 gives the first ionization energy (the energy required to remove one electron from an atom of the element), the atomic radius (the physical size of the atom, defined as the average distance from the center of the nucleus of the atom to the boundary of its electron cloud), the melting point, and boiling point of some of the elements in Figure 1. All data is given at 1 atm of pressure.
