Who should use Magoosh?

Anyone can use Magoosh! Our prep works best for individuals who fall into one of the following categories:

• Self-studiers: students who prefer to study on their own time and at their own pace.
• Video-lovers: students who learn better by watching videos than by reading or live-learning. Every Magoosh ACT practice question has its own video explanation.
• Busy students: those who do not have much time to study and want to sneak in a practice session here and there.

How does the refund policy work?

If you’re unhappy for any reason, email us within 7 days of purchasing, and we will give you a full refund. No strings attached.

If I'm struggling with a question, can I get help?

Of course! We are happy to help you with any concerns or questions you have about any of our material. Send us a message while you're studying, and we'll get back to you quickly.

What are your study schedules like?

They include recommended materials and weekly/daily checklists of the tasks you need to complete to stay motivated and on track.

How does the course work?

It’s 100% online. No DVDs. No books. It works on both Macs and PCs: any device with an internet connection!

How close is the material to the actual ACT?

Extremely close. Our experienced instructors use metrics to ensure that the difficulty and types of questions in Magoosh ACT match those on the actual test. We rank the questions by difficulty to help you master the basics as you progress towards your target score.

Can I purchase multiple ACT accounts? Can I purchase multiple ACT and SAT accounts together?

You definitely can! Email us at act@magoosh.com and we'll work something out with you.

Do you offer essay grading?

While Magoosh doesn't grade your practice essays for you, we do offer assistance and ACT writing test strategies via email.

Which types of payment do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover as well as PayPal. We process all our transactions through Paypal, so your credit card info is safe.

How many times will I be charged?

You'll only be charged one time for any paid ACT plan. We don't store your credit card information, so we definitely won't charge you on a monthly basis or anything like that. It's a one-time, upfront fee, and that's it.

Do you have iPad/iPhone/Android access?

Yes, we do! You can access all of the Magoosh ACT lessons anywhere with an internet connection. Just use your mobile browser to get full access to the site.

Do I need to have taken the test before?

Nope! :) Many of our students are first-time ACT test-takers. So, if you're ready to start studying now, don't hesitate to sign up! Our lessons start from with the basics and teach you everything you need to know about the ACT, so taking the test prior to using Magoosh ACT is not required.
